Content: €6 billion has been allocated and calls are open to support the production of renewable hydrogen for the transport and industrial sectors. 
The scheme will contribute to the development of renewable hydrogen production capacity in line with the objectives of the European Union Hydrogen Strategy
 and the Clean Industry Pact. The aid will take the form of two-way contracts for difference and will last until December 31, 2029. The European Commission 
has deemed the aid necessary and appropriate to facilitate the production of renewable hydrogen for the decarbonization of the transport and industrial sectors. 
The European Commission also concluded that the aid has an incentive effect, is proportionate, and will produce positive effects, particularly on the environment, 
that outweigh any negative effects on competition.
